To start 2017 I really wanted to begin a personal project again. It's been almost two years since I completed my first 365 project and while I have continued shooting almost daily I really miss having the challenge of making something and being accountable for it. I was deciding between another 365 and a 52 week Project and actually chose combine the two this year. For my Project 52 I am committed to get in the frame every week. It's one of the most scary and challenging things I've set myself up for as far as personal work goes but I'm ready to embrace it. This month for our 10 on 10 circle I share with you my first 10 images of the year. Full of shadows, light and including a self portrait or two. To continue following along in our circle of amazing artists and please visit my friend Sarah's post. Happy New Year!
It's the end of Summer and close to the end of warm evenings spent at the park. So we're soaking in every last warm night and going out to play. On this evening I followed my boys to wherever they roamed watching them revisit their favorite spaces of this park. Sometimes it's the normal, everyday things that remind us how beautiful life is. This post is part of a blog circle that I've joined with some amazing artists and you don't want to miss their beautiful images. Next up is Sarah Rypma with images of her Michigan Summer.
So. The Joshua Tree. HOLY AMAZING location! I met my longtime dear friend Angie Hammond in Palm Springs for an opportunity to meet the super talented Summer Murdock and see how she creates her beautiful work. Here are a few from our session on the first night of our trip. The light was insanely gorgeous and this family was so incredibly sweet. It got me thinking how inspiring it is to travel and discover new ways to capture the unique connections of families and how to see light different ways. Always learning, always growing!
This month I bring you one VERY excited four-year-old boy. This year he was seriously bouncing off the wall excited about dyeing Easter Eggs. He keeps reminding me all about the little things that can bring us so much joy! Be sure to follow our circle today and start HERE with the gorgeous vacation images that Maria Manco blogged!

Miss Adorable right here just turned one. I seriously cannot get enough of her! Here are just a few of my favorites from our little session this past weekend.
Happy New Year! I'm so excited to welcome a new year with new opportunities, new projects and new perspectives in both my personal and professional life. Today I wanted to share a time capsule video I made for my husband this Christmas. I've dabbled a little into video and am absolutely loving it. One of my goals this year is to offer my clients and friends the option of a lifestyle video session. It's another wonderful way to document everyday moments in your life. This one is just a little glimpse into our mornings together as a family. I hope you enjoy and thank you for watching!
Jaxon is 4.5 years old and Asher is 4.5 months old and they already make each other laugh. A LOT! I see such a beautiful brother relationship blooming here and it makes my heart so full.
This session is one of my all time favorites for so many reasons. Nicole and I have become such good friends and I am always SO excited when she asks me to photograph her family. She is an amazing mama, a brilliant photographer and she styled her family to perfection for this session. I call this session "enchanted" because there was something magical about this evening. The light was dreamy, this family is so wonderful and their connection shines whenever they are together.
I've been photographing this family since mama was pregnant with this handsome little guy and it is so awesome to watch their family grow. What a gorgeous trio!
