10 on 10 | May Edition

This month I had two rules for myself: 1. All images will be black & white 2. All images include Jaxon. As I was editing each one I couldn’t help but notice how fast my little man is growing. This project has allowed me to take time to photograph these little moments that will always be big moments to me.

1. Jaxon and Toby watching the snow fall (in MAY)

2. Channeling his inner Rock Star

3. Smile! We love Cheerios

4. Oh my sweet little man

5. Doin’ a jig in the park

6. “Mom..ANOTHER picture?!”

7. Brushing our teeth is SO exciting!

8. This is how I roll in the bathtub. Go Broncos!

9. Laughing with Daddy

10. Morning smile

10 on 10 | April Edition

This past weekend I met the most amazing family. They chose me to photograph them as a growing family as they recently adopted a newborn baby girl. During breaks for baby and mama, this little girl just stole my heart. She was one of the sweetest little girls I have ever met and such an amazing big sister. For this month I wanted to share images of big sister Kalea. If this is what it’s like to have a daughter – sign me up!!

Head on over to Rebecca Chalmer’s blog and see what amazing images she has in store for this month!

Kids Were Here

We are a group of passionate photographers who are setting out to document details of evidence that Kids Were Here. It is a fabulous idea introduced by the very talented and creative Ketti Photography. I am honored to join in this amazing project with 25 extraordinary talented and wonderful ladies! This is a photographic journey of our lives each month taking images without the kids in the frame but rather the messes, objects and memories that they left behind:)Here is my take for April!

“In the moment it is easy to get frustrated with all the mess and clutter that results from living with children. This set reminds me how quickly it will all pass. One day the toys will be in totes no longer played with. I will miss this. I’m reminded to slow down. To not stress about it. My happiness is not dependant upon everything put back into place and a neat and tidy home. One day we will have a wonderful reminder. evidence left behind written upon our hearts and minds of our children. photographs that will bring us back to this very day, when our kids were here.” – Jude Wood

Come on over and visit our new website, Kids Were Here and prepare to be inspired!
